Joy, the I Never Was a Hero, but I Know There's Someone Out There Cirrus
'I guess it was a good story 'n all, but I could really use a nap. You too, kiddo?'

It's kind of hard to tell since she has the same homogeneous cloudy appearance as any other nephin, but this Cirrus is ancient. She's seen many, many years: some good, others bad, and at least two generations have passed right before her eyes. As a result, she has served as a kind of living history for her Cloud, and is the only one who remembered when, exactly, they were trapped away in the Under.
...Mind you, her memory's lost some of its sharpness over the years. Either that or she'd just rather not dwell on hard times, because probing her too much about certain things will often result in her brushing it off and saying that she can't quite recall. She knows a lot of things, though, and she's typically more than happy to spout off facts or amusing anecdotes for a captive audience. History is her forte, and her knowledge of ancient Isnitian civilizations is quite formidable. Ask her about some strange old rune you found in the caverns and chances are she'll be able to tell you all about it... or at least have an inkling what it is so she can point you in the right direction. As Cirrus go, she's rather good-natured and amiable. She feels she's already done her part in life, so to speak, and she's now content to reminisce about the good old days and the bad old days and never really involve herself too much in anything. She claims she was never much of anything special: just a regular Cirrus who got lucky and has probably seen more than her fair share of days. There's a few people that know different, though. Fact is, she used to be a hero. The details are lost to time and she won't ever speak of it, but she once rescued the cloud from a great danger and very nearly bested the beast who trapped them in the caverns to begin with using wit and strength. A regular cetacean Indiana Jones, she was.
Those days are long behind her, though, as she's quick to assert. She's not spry enough to go out hunting any more, and even her sharp mind has lost a little bit of its edge. That said, she's very much still kicking... and when you think about it, that's rather odd in and of itself. She seems to have lived way, way longer than any self-respecting nephin ought to, but she doesn't seem too worried that she'll kick the bucket anytime soon. She certainly won't confess anything of the sort, but there were rumors in her cloud that she'd been granted eternal (or at least extended) life through one of her adventures. Poppycock and nonsense, as far as she's concerned, and her cloudy form does show some signs of aging. She resembles a flat-faced Irrawaddy river dolphin, her beak rather tortoise-like and wrinkled, and her right eye is perpetually shut. She's developed a bit of a hunchback, as well, but it really doesn't seem to slow her down much when she wants to move.
