the Alabaster Obelisk at the Edge of the World Egg
The largest and sturdiest of the clutch is also one of the least interesting in terms of appearance. This egg has a thick shell that is uniformly just a few shades off white, unblemished by dirt or the ash of the fire pit. If one looks closely, they'll still find a few places where its surface is pitted or marred, but the egg doesn't really bear that kind of close scrutiny. Compared to its siblings, it doesn't move around much at all.
Sulahmisk, the Overgrown Ruins of the Secluded Fortress Common Female Mountain Dragon
formerly the Insular Mountain
Sulahmisk's name primarily comes from Methuselah, an exceptionally long-lived man whose name has come to be used to refer to anything of exceptional age. Secondary inspiration come from El-Misalla, or the Masalla Obelisk, the only element of Heliopolis that remains in its original position.

Mindvoice
bold italic #7b9396
Gruff and raspy, this Mountain's mindvoice isn't exactly the most pleasing. Unfortunately, she doesn't know when to hold her tongue, either. She's a dragon who speaks her opinions unflinchingly. More often than not, this involves her airing her opinions about the actions of others, often to criticize them harshly. Sulahmisk's vocabulary cutting and acerbic, with a tendency towards being bitter and sardonic. Her sentences tend to be short and her cadence clipped, and she usually tends towards sour silence in lieu of frivolous chatter, only speaking up to butt in and give others a piece of her mind.

Appearance
Height: 14' 5"
Length: 53" 11'
For such a massive, imposing creature, Sulahmisk is actually rather finely carved. In places, the sandpaper texture of her hide gives way to smoother portions, looking and feeling like a mixture between limestone and marble. Her hide is a matte white except for a few tastefully placed spiderwebs of dark cream that match the marbled markings of her wings. The only other splashes of color are provided by the gemstones that run in veins, strung like vines from her two rows of dull back spines. For the most part these are composed of variegated green jasper, with occasional flecks of red or ruddy brown. Tiny bits of jonquil and natural olivine provide a little bit of sparkle. She doesn't have much metal on her body, but thin streams of silver spiral up from her wrists (including those of her wings) up her forearms.
Even her winter coat is quite lovely, and she even manages to avoid looking like a patchy, overgrown fledgling when she molts. The downy feathers themselves are a soft tan with thin brown stripes.
When Sulahmisk moves, she does so deliberately, carefully considering every step that she takes. However, she's not really known for moving around much. When there's no particular need for motion she is almost preternaturally still, as if she were a statue rather than a living creature. It's not that she's lazy; there's just no point in going anywhere unless you have to. In flight, she seems to float on the air, most motion confined to her wings and tail. It makes her an exceptionally smooth ride... if you can convince her to ferry you anywhere in the first place.

Personality
Sulahmisk comes off as distinctly unpleasant. She's a pessimist in the extreme, and a bitter one at that. She doesn't bother to disguise it, either, and tends to air her frustrations openly. Mostly, those frustrations have to do with people. Plain and simple, she disapproves of most of them and how fickle they are. If she had her way, no one would ever be so capricious; sudden changes are detestable to her. (She would never admit that she might fear them.) Consequently, she comes across as irritable and snappish as she calls out every instance of hypocrisy and ill intent she comes across.
These unpleasant qualities are rooted in her own unerring self-control. She shuns baser instincts in favor of working tirelessly in pursuit of her own goals, which are, on the whole, aimed towards making the world a better place. Sulahmisk is a dragon of strong convictions and, importantly, ones that she holds to without wavering. As a result, she has a low tolerance for those with poor self-esteem and, alternatively, those who are greedy, mostly since she herself is neither. Contrary to first impressions, though, she's actually quite generous and charitable at heart, a champion of the down-trodden. Sure, she'll hurl venom at anyone who would be so stupid as to fall for the schemes of that con artist who swept them off their feet, but then she'll turn around and do the same for the swindler, only this time twice as harsh. It could be less that she likes them and more that she hates them a little less than she hates those with ill intent.
Ian is something of a kindred spirit for her; her attitude is permanently reminiscent of his pre-coffee state, and she shares his poor bedside manner... albeit she might take it to an extreme. Besides that, she chose him because she actually likes what he does. He's trying to help people, even if his attitude is poor or they treat him badly, and he doesn't turn away idiots. In Sulahmisk's mind, most people are idiots. Ian included, actually... but she tolerates him more than most. She does have a soft spot for youngsters as well (another thing that she shares with her bonded.) She draws the line the moment they become capable of understanding their own decisions and acting accordingly. Besides her hidden generosity, one of her finer points is that Sulahmisk is courageous. Of course, it manifests itself in unpleasant ways such as an apparent inability to hold her tongue, but not much frightens her. That is, besides sudden change and the idea that people will one day drive themselves to extinction by not thinking about the long-term consequences of their actions. At least she's there to do that thinking for them, and deep down she really does care. A lot, in fact, because otherwise she'd just ignore them entirely.
For a Mountain, her hoard is rather unimpressive. Petty trinkets and jewels will often be surreptitiously funneled towards those who have need of monetary support, and Sulahmisk views greed and a desire for material things as a weakness. Still, she's been unable to completely root it out in herself, as she does hold on to a few treasures that have special meanings to her.
